The history prior to Sixteenth century is not absolutely known.The officially known record of the Cheyenne is in between 1600 and 1700's, during this period the Cheyenne moved to Minnesota and North Dakota.During mid nineteenth century, the Cheyenne was established and due to gold rush, there was a huge settlement which disregarded the treaty and hence the Cheyenne lost their land.
