I want to register for this site on behalf of my dad who is 67 years old and written a book about his views on life in general. He's written a 100+ page dossier on his thoughts on a range of issues affecting the world today there are 50+ short stories. ARE WE, OR ARE WE NOT
So do you think that the life you are living now is REALITY? Can you prove it? I very much doubt it. Nobody yet has proved that we are definitely living in the real world, one reasonable theory is that we are all figments of our own imagination, living in our own individual universe, and when we reach the stroke of departure, we then wake up in the real world. But for the moment, we are living our lives in one or the other, so either way lets get on with it. In the book there are lots of variations of just about everything under the sun that concern us in our visit to this particular dimension of time. Some are pleasurable, some are not, that is one of the facts of life, you are either content or you are not content, one minute things are going sweetly, the next minute they are not. There will be a million things that happen in your lifetime, such as certain situations, circumstances that you will have an opinion on, they may concern you, or someone you know, or it could be a perfect stranger. So the question is, how are you going to react? Will you shy away from them and bottle your comments and emotions, or are you going to have your say about whatever it is that has unsettled you. People who tend to sweep these annoying issues under the carpet, rather than confront them are people who in most of their life wear blinkers, they probably are good honest decent people but they feel as they just don’t want to get involved with anything other than their own life Everyone has different natures, some of us are painfully shy and retiring, others are flamboyant and ostentatious in their approach to life, is there a massive gap between the two natures, not at all, in fact I should think its quite narrow because the two natures would intrude into each others patch, for example the painfully shy person now and again would come out of his shell and it would be a pleasure to be in his company, and if our other friend hears of bad news or feels down in the dumps, then he temporarily will end up in the shy persons abode. If you consider yourself a person who wears blinkers, then this book should give you a different approach to that problem.
POLLUTION IS A DIRTY WORD
Here is a brief history of the world we live in, the earth has been revolving around the sun for over 5 billion years there was no human life on the planet until about 37 thousand years ago, when the first man came along he supposedly walked like a monkey and I believe was classified as a Neanderthal but it has taken all those years to mould into an upright walking person but now with a far superior intelligence, but I am very mystified because the bible says that the first man was someone called Adam, so was he a Neanderthal man all those years ago, because the famous paintings I have seen of Adam and his family don’t depict him anything but a normal human being of today except for the fig leaf. Anyway lets zoom off in our time machine back to 1897 was there anything to suggest at that time of possible global warming the answer to that, was HARDLY ANY. There were a few trains no cars no heavy industry, so we will now zoom off again this time forward to1961 was there any pollution around then, the answer to that was YES. Motorways were just starting to appear because someone had the vision to realise that the speed to which cars were being produced would obviously create traffic jams galore, plus the new addition of plane travel and heavy industries throwing their weight around as well, but it also seems at that time nobody had the vision to realise this sudden upsurge with pollution would eventually create serious problems for future generations, so now we will set off again this time forward to the present where the situation now is beyond control lets look at the evidence:-
· 1897 no cars, no planes, [ hardly any pollution ]
· 1961 motorways by the dozen, 2 million cars in the UK alone
· (disturbing rise in pollution)
· 1961 approx 50 major passenger airports around the world [more pollution 2007 wider motorways being made, now 30 million cars in the UK
· 2007 estimated US cars rises to 70 million, rest of the world 200 million
· 2007 estimated 500 planes flying round at the same time
· 2007 heavy industries now in full swing especially in the US and CHINA and even INDIA is a big player in the Heavy Industries league.
The figures you have just read are 95% accurate; we are in the worst situation that the human race could ever imagine. One thing is absolutely certain people are not going to stop living the life they are living now, flying round the world driving to work or into the country or seaside, so there you have it. Global warming will speed up and I estimate that in 300 years there will be hardly anybody living in the southern hemisphere it will be too hot to survive. Someone might ask why won’t the northern hemisphere suffer first, this is where the geography of the world takes charge, if you look at the south pole on a map you will notice no land mass it’s all water and ice and the nearest landmass is thousands of miles away like Australia, South Africa, and South America. Where in that situation in their winters it rarely goes below freezing and in the summers its usually very hot, whereas the northern hemisphere there is plenty of land mass near to the north pole which attracts more cloudy weather which means more of rain and snow plus freezing temperatures [for the moment] for nearly 5 months of the year, and as the years go by the southern hemisphere will get hotter and hotter probably up to 50 Celsius, in the next 200 years the deserts will get wider so people will start to move north to live in probably Iceland, Greenland, Canada Norway, Finland, Russia Sweden and even Siberia which could be the next California, the Bering Straits could become a major shipping channel. As the snow and ice continues to melt places like southern Florida would disappear as would the east coast of England up to forty miles inland which would make Doncaster a seaside resort, Blackpool would become an island, Holland and Belgium would become an extension of the north sea, at the moment two thirds of the worlds surface is water and will eventually rise to three quarters. This almighty tragedy will eventually land on our doorsteps. If people took their blinkers off they would realise what was happening. Its more scary than our mentality will allow us to absorb, yes I am afraid it is that bad, the very thought that the human race is maybe going to go into countdown, actually there’s no maybe about it, it will happen, you might be thinking to yourselves it won’t happen. Someone, somewhere will think of something that won’t allow it to happen, the only thing that won’t happen is that it won’t affect you or me or our next of kin or even the next few generations, we are talking long term here [400yrs] if you want to call that long, you might think if it’s going to take all that time we might as well carry on as we are, but this is just typical of some members of the human race, Imagine the Earth is 5 times larger than it is now but with the same population we would be in a lot healthier situation because there would be more space for the pollution and it would give us at least a million years before we would be back in this situation we find ourselves in now. Less than a hundred years ago you may have heard or read about men walking round the streets of cities and towns with sandwich boards over their shoulders with the words in block capitals - THE END OF THE WORLD IS NIGH. Now in those far off days it was something of a joke, only if a meteor the size of Madagascar hit the earth were we going to perish, otherwise there was not a chance of anything else putting us in danger, but a hundred years later do those boards look like a joke now, well they don’t to me there is a grim warning that we are in serious trouble and although we won’t be here I forecast by the year 2300 there will be a serious decline in life standards, because people will become disorientated with life and money will not mean anything to anybody, if you think we live in a dangerous world now by then it will be 50 times more dangerous, what impact do you think it would have on the universe if the worst came to the worst do you think it would make the headlines in the UNIVERSAL GAZETTE which is printed once every 20 years, it covers all the local news which incorporates an area of 100,000 light years I don’t think it would make much impact do you. If they decide to put the history of this world into a thousand page book, put it in a small rocket and shoot it off to the stars you never know it could be picked up by an alien force in 40,000 years time and provided they can read English they can read all about us, but by then we will be long gone, but at the moment we are in this never ending universe, probably equal to a blade of grass in Regents Park The tragedy that is happening to us is nothing compared to what is happening elsewhere in our galaxy, have you ever heard of BLACK HOLES they are the most dangerous predators in the known universe, what they do is quite frightening, if there is life out there let’s say like ours and one of these monsters are in the vicinity, that planet could be swallowed up in no time, these black holes wander round the galaxy and anything in their way they would swallow them, moons, planets, comets. Whatever goes into a black hole does not come out, not even light can escape, to give you a better idea, it’s like your kitchen sink when you pull that plug out, you get that whirlpool effect, and the size of these can range from the size of a dinner plate, up to 10 million miles wide, and there is an estimated 10.000 in our galaxy alone, but luckily too far away to be of any danger, some late news from the universal gazette is that the largest galaxy in the immediate universe ANDROMEDA is heading straight towards us the [MILKY WAY ] that’s where we live, the second largest galaxy at a speed of 60 miles a second and when they eventually collide it will be like 100 billion glass marbles smashing into another 100 billion glass marbles, that incident when it happens maybe, just maybe get a mention in the universal gazette anyway don’t let it worry you because even travelling at 60 miles a second it won’t happen for another 10.000 million years I know its mind boggling but it’s true. But the horrible reality has to be faced, life on this planet is going to fade out probably a million years prematurely, yes I am sorry you won’t be able to buy a ticket to go on a rocket ship to another planet, firstly there will not be enough seats on the rocket for me and you, assuming there is only 100 seats and secondly there is no planet in our solar system that is hospitable anyway so we will have to stop here with everybody else and face the music. In the next 250 years there probably will be no ice anywhere on the planet apart from your fridge and automatically the sea levels will rise and the earths surface will be 75 % water, so I am afraid the bottom line is we have messed up, and big time at that, but to be really, really honest it was going to happen anyway simply because from day one, it’s in mans nature to stride forward and discover, obviously man didn’t want to ride around on horses all day, man has always been adventurous and going to places like Australia, Africa, north and south America even the north & south poles he couldn’t go by paddle steamer could he, so we have worked our way up to the invention of the car, aeroplane and other means that have contributed to our eventual downfall, so although the human being in some respects is a nasty piece of work, he has as far as technology is concerned a credit to the universe, but by doing so we are now on our way out. But you should also know that what is happening to us is also happening to other worlds and other suns today and every other day till the end of time, suns are dying and taking their planets with them and if there is life on these planets they will just disappear as well and at the moment there are more suns dying than are being born but in a few billion years time it will reverse. Another thing to remember is that all the things you are made up of from CARBON, HYDROGEN, OXYGEN and NITROGEN will always be on this planet forever, it’s not like a puddle in the street that evaporates the chemistry of your body won’t and when our solar system explodes everything and I mean everything including your small contribution and everybody else into a sort of melting pot and then when everything gets back into rhythm, new suns and planets are formed from the same chemistry that you were made from, so then your contribution is now part of a new solar system, of course you do realise that this process will take billions of years to materialise so don’t hold your breath, the only other way of entering another life earlier would be achieved only through a celestial power, science fiction it may sound like but it’s true. So let us recap this chapter the Earth is heading straight towards doomsday because of global warming and it’s too late to avert it, the planets that could be hospitable are far too far away so the end of the HUMAN RACE is a forgone conclusion. But I have a theory that there could be another side to the coin and if I am correct then the human race will not disappear and could possibly exist from now to Eternity. If you look at the title of this book what is the title WAKE UP TO REALITY not only me but other more influential people do believe that when we die we will wake up in the real world[REALITY] as we are now we could be figments of our own imagination and there is nobody can prove that we are and nobody can prove that we are not and please remember that if we are figments when we die we will wake up to the real world, hopefully there will not be a global warming problem on the other side.
Can I give you a question are you in two minds whether you think that life is an accident or maybe a fluke or just a one off, where there will be no comeback no nothing or do you think that there is a creator who has given us a life and at the end of that life there will be another opportunity to enter another life. Well obviously I don’t know what your thoughts are but if you read on I may be able to send you down a certain avenue of thought.
Question - Will a cars ignition starts up on its own?
Question - Will a house build itself?
Question - Will your supermarket trolley fill itself?
The answer to all 3 questions no they won’t someone has to do it.
Last question - Did the universe/big bang just suddenly happen on its own or was it triggered off by something celestial?
The answer - it must have been started by some intelligent power which was around long before the big bang, and as well would probably be a million times more intelligent than we are .
Verdict - Cast iron certainty, there must be a CREATOR
From an early age I have always regarded life as a gift given to me by somebody apart from my parents, somebody I will never be able to thank while I am alive but I hope I can in a more peaceful place. But I want people to read what I think of the world we live in and how we should respond to adversities and look toward to horizons. So I hope you find this book interesting to say the least, I am going to speak my mind in this book, I think the majority of people are not seeing life as it should be seen, we shall also diagnose N.D.E. [NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES] have a look at religion, social levels, married life, weird stories of peoples lives, have you a love of music, Jehovah and his followers. I don’t want to stand on peoples toes, if I do I am sorry, the bottom line is when you have read this book and it changes in some way how you think, I would be happy about that, but if you dislike the book then feel free to use it as a draught excluder. I have never yet come across a book that lets people know the whys and wherefores that we in our everyday lives have to contend with over the years, I have noticed an overwhelming percentage who seem to go through life with blinkers on, not knowing nor caring what makes the world go round, obviously people have the right to live the way they want to, but if you are like me you want to be a bit like a judge and jury of what you might think is right and wrong in society and indeed the world, but unfortunately our thoughts and comments won’t change anything but at least we are taking an interest in the world we basically are only tenants, but there is one thing for certain you can’t do it with blinkers on.
Question - Do you believe that life will be good to good people and life will be bad to bad people?
My answer - If someone has told you that, or that is the way you think anyway, then they are deluding you or you are deluding yourself, because life is not only unfair but I am afraid to say, it can also be absurd, for example what if you read that a hit and run driver who carried on driving down the road after hitting a mother of four and killing her goes home as though nothing has happened checks his lottery ticket and finds out he is 2 million pounds richer, or the true story of a man that used to visit his sick mother everyday because she was heavily dependent on him in her later years, on this particular visit he was surrounded by a bunch of drunken drug users who didn’t know which planet they were on, kicked and punched him till he was beyond help. These are the kind of stories you can read in your papers every day, so no I am sorry but life is anything but fair. How about people who have worked all their lives bringing up families and at the same time saving up towards their pension, maybe dreaming of a nice little bungalow at the seaside or even the country, but as soon as they reach retirement the husband or wife through an accident or illness passes away and leaves the other partner on their own, all the dreams are shattered. I remember walking through a graveyard quite a few years ago to tend a grave of one of my older relatives, as I was walking down this path I noticed this old gentleman at a graveside he seemed to be talking to himself I asked him if he was alright he said he was, I asked him who he had come to see and he said it was his wife so we had a chat and he said he had been coming every day since she died and spoke to her and that he just wanted to be near to her and that was ten years ago, when she died he got a puppy for a companion and was with him at the graveside but now was fully grown, very, very sad and in a way depressing, there is a lesson to be learnt from that story, if you were like I said at the beginning wearing blinkers and you were walking through the graveyard to put some flowers on the grave of a relative and you had seen this man talking to a gravestone you would have left the scene without a whisper, but I didn’t I went over and spoke to the man with sympathy and understanding which made him feel a bit more cheerful, I admit afterwards I did feel sad after talking to him but there is nothing wrong with that, feeling sad means you care, plus the fact you can refer to it in later life.
